Edwin Glur, O.D. was raised in South Central North Dakota and has been practicing for more than three decades and specializes in fitting difficult contact lenses.
Dr. Glur began practicing optometry as an Army Captain at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. After two years, he returned to his home state of North Dakota and set up his own office where he practiced for the next 24 years as the only eye care provider in three counties. He then merged with the MeritCare Health System in Fargo, North Dakota, before joining Eye Care Associates. He has fit thousands of contact lens patients and co-managed hundreds of glaucoma and cataract patients.

He attended St. John's University and the University of North Dakota and did his graduate work at Pacific University College of Optometry near Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Glur is a past president of the North Dakota Optometric Association and the 11 states North Central States Optometric Region and has served on several committees of the American Optometric Association. He was named "Optometrist of the Year" in North Dakota.
