“I’ve been in a lot of great places in my life,” says Dr. Bailey, “but I’ve always wanted to come back and take care of people in Minnesota. I love helping people see better and I enjoy explaining how their vision works. I have two hats that I wear at Eye Care Associates. I am a comprehensive ophthalmologist and am also fellowship-trained in neuro-ophthalmology. Cataract surgery and lens implants have improved so much in the years that I have been in practice, and helping patients achieve their visual goals is exciting and rewarding. Neuro-ophthalmology patients often have problems that are difficult to diagnose, and it is very satisfying to help them solve their complex issues.”

Dr. Bailey is a director on the American Board of Ophthalmology. In that role, she helps design assessments and activities assuring that ophthalmologists across the country meet high standards, stay up to date, and practice ethically. In addition, she enjoys writing and has been published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). She serves as Editor of the Patient Safety Feature in EyeNet Magazine, the monthly publication of the America Academy of Ophthalmology.
