Robert S. Warshawsky, MD, an ophthalmologist and a partner at Eye Care Associates for more than 25 years, is well known in the community. He does comprehensive ophthalmology, including cataracts, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, corneal transplants, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Warshawsky has been performing corneal surgery since 1975; he is trained and certified in both LASIK and photo refractive keratectomy (PRK) to correct refractive errors. His surgeries are performed at the Phillips Eye Institute.

Dr. Warshawsky was active in establishing the Phillips Eye Institute, originally part of Mount Sinai Hospital and now a specialty eye care hospital in the Allina Health Care System. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Minnesota Ophthalmology Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
A native of Michigan, he graduated cum laude from the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor; he received his MD degree from their School of Medicine where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. Dr. Warshawsky served an internship at the Los Angeles County General Hospital, followed by an ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine.
